I am busy playing with my new Sigma 10-20mm lens. These are the shots from today’s experiments. Nothing amazing, but I still had fun!
January can be the bleakest month of the year. Having to go back to work, the holidays over and endless grey skies and long nights. I went for a walk in the cold yesterday and returned with a couple of images. They are not going to win any awards, but getting out into the fresh air and seeing a bit of nature always helps to lift the spirits.
I took this in early winter. The light and frost we just right, one of my personal favourites of the year.
I took this on my morning walk a week ago. The raiN has set in now, hopefully the sun returns soon so my walks are brighter.
I wish I had taken a longer lens with me this morning. I think the moon would of been more striking. Still not a bad image using the Nikon 35mm f1.8 prime I have.
Autumn is here, but it feels more like late Summer. The first fruits are appearing and there are a few leaves turning. Some reds here and there. Hopefully we get more colour … but for that we need cooler weather. I will keep posting as the season progresses.
This is an image I captured in St. Ives in Cornwall. I loved the colours of the boats and this little child playing in the puddles and sand. St. Ives is truly a magical place for me. The small little streets, interesting shops and lovely restaurants and cafes make for an awesome stay.
The above colour grading was based on a scene in Blade Runner 2049. I have posted this one before with a different colour grading, but prefer this one.
This is a typical country road found close to where I live. I cannot wait for spring and for when things burst into life again!
