I am busy playing with my new Sigma 10-20mm lens. These are the shots from today’s experiments. Nothing amazing, but I still had fun!
January can be the bleakest month of the year. Having to go back to work, the holidays over and endless grey skies and long nights. I went for a walk in the cold yesterday and returned with a couple of images. They are not going to win any awards, but getting out into the fresh air and seeing a bit of nature always helps to lift the spirits.
I came across this Moorhen on my morning walk. I love this time of year, the weather is amazing and the light is perfect for hours on end.
This is an image I captured in St. Ives in Cornwall. I loved the colours of the boats and this little child playing in the puddles and sand. St. Ives is truly a magical place for me. The small little streets, interesting shops and lovely restaurants and cafes make for an awesome stay.
The above colour grading was based on a scene in Blade Runner 2049. I have posted this one before with a different colour grading, but prefer this one.
Autumn is here and so are the crisp, misty mornings.
Went down to the local lakes today so I could see all the babies. There were cygnets and goslings about with very protective parents. The geese hissed a little, but generally they were all well behaved and so I got to get a few descent pictures.
I took this a few years ago in Bristol, our favourite city in the UK. The people are so friendly and the region around it is beautiful. Maybe one day we will get to live there, but for now I will have to be happy with the few photos and the odd visit.
